Reading Sharing Session
‘Pages full of fantastic talk, penned with bitter tears; All men call the author mad. None his message hears.’ Cao Xueqin's grief and tears of blood are not only condensed in the short four five-character lines, but also permeated in every single word and phrase of ‘A Dream of Red Mansions’.In order to explore the profound connotation and unique charm of this classic book, on the evening of January 22nd, under the leadership of teachers Zeng Hui and Li Jia, the teachers from the Junior High Department of the west campus attended the third reading sharing session in the lecture hall.
As is known to all, A Dream of Red Mansions is the most outstanding work of Chinese classical novels, a distinguished representative of the time-honored and splendid Chinese culture, the pride of our great Chinese nation, and a treasure in the world literature.
Specifically, teachers Zeng Hui and Li Jia took Wang Xifeng as an example and read her classic lines in the book in different roles, starting with her judgment. In addition, combining the context and plot, they conducted detailed analysis on Wang Xifeng's toughness in terms of her character and fate and put forward their own opinions as well, which was reasonable and full of talent. Perhaps most of our knowledge of Wang Xifeng comes from film and television works, however, one hundred readers have their own viewpoints of Wang Xifeng. Thus, readers can meticulously taste the charm of language and literature and have more space for thinking.
In brief, reading the classics, we are always on the road.
